Is a sponsor, bond, or initiation fee necessary to join?
No. Basking Ridge Country Club does not have these requirements to enroll in our golf memberships.
What types of memberships are available, and how are they structured?
Our memberships come in various levels, including weekday, house, twilight, junior, child, and premium. They are structured annually, meaning they run from January through December.
Do memberships require additional monthly expenses?
No. There are no monthly food minimums, other types of monthly minimums, or course improvement assessments for our members.
What perks come along with a membership?
Basking Ridge Country Club members and their guests have open access to our practice facilities, so there is no additional cost for using the putting greens, driving range, or short game area.
Once I’m a member, can I bring guests to play with me?
Yes. Our members are welcome to invite guests to the golf course, though they must check-in at the pro shop and pay the appropriate guest fees. Further, the same guest cannot exceed play more than five times in one calendar year.

When is the first tee time, and are tee times required for members?
Depending on the time of the year and weather conditions, starting tee times vary. From mid-May to early September, the first tee time is typically 7:30 a.m. on Tuesdays through Fridays and 7:00 a.m. on weekends. Tee times are not required, though members can benefit from making tee times 7 to 14 days in advance.
Will I be able to walk the golf course when I play?
Yes. On Tuesdays through Fridays, carts are not required, and members are free to walk the course at no additional fee. Carts are required on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays before 1:30 p.m., and during these times, guests choosing to not take a cart will be charged a walking fee of $14.
What is the dress code?
Proper attire is required on the golf course, with the following strictly prohibited:
- Tennis shorts
- Swimming trunks
- Blue jeans of any kind
- Halter tops
- Tee shirts
- Other unconventional manners of dress
Further, shorts and skirts must be worn at Bermuda length, and proper golf shoes are required.
Are there play restrictions for female members?
Absolutely not – all members have the same privileges.
What is the Basking Ridge Country Club Golf Academy, and can my family use it if they are not members?
Open to the public, including family of Basking Ridge Country Club members, our Golf Academy offers private and group lessons taught by top PGA Professionals. Catering to golfers of all skill and experience levels, we offer clinics, on-course instruction, club fitting, and more.
As a member, will I have charging privileges on the property?
Yes. Members have house charging privileges at our on-property restaurant, Delicious Heights OUTPOST, as well as our pro shop, halfway house, and pool snack bar. That means our members can be completely cashless on our property and charge all expenses to their account. All they have to do is show their membership card, which contains a five-digit identification number, and the member’s house charges will be billed monthly. These charges are only payable by check.
