Intros and timelines of events

BASKING Basking Ridge Country Club and Heritage Golf Group are pleased to announce the opening of XXV1 Tavern (twenty-six tavern). The 133-seat restaurant will be open to club members as well as the public. Nestled on the border of Somerset and Morris Counties, Basking Ridge Country Club offers the perfect blend of private and public facilities. We offer public dining and exemplary catering facilities to accommodate a wide variety of business and social interests and needs. "We are excited to continue to serve our community and introduce our extremely talented Executive Chef Angel Rivera and the new menu he has created for XXVI Tavern," said Chris Thomas, General Manager of Basking Ridge Country Club.

Chef Angel has deep experience at both private clubs and high-end restaurants in the tristate area, including, most recently, 1776 by David Burke in Morristown. Chef Rivera joined XXVI Tavern last month and has created an exciting menu with a new twist on old favorites. The menu features an array of shareable dishes and a wide variety of salads, sandwiches, pizzas, and tacos, plus entrées, daily specials and a kid's menu.

Heritage Golf Group, a leading owner and operator of golf and country clubs, purchased Basking Ridge Country Club in January 2022. Heritage took over food and beverage operations October 1, 2022, after previous leases had expired. With Matt D A'rnese as the restaurant manager helping to guide the ship. As well as Elizabeth Hudec the Bar manager to help with all libations.

The name XXVI Tavern is a nod to 1926, the year Basking Ridge Country Club was founded. XXVI Tavern will continue to be open to the public and members of the club, Wednesday – Sunday. The restaurant offers views of the beautiful fairways and greens of the golf course while dining inside or outside. The outdoor bar and terrace, with 50 additional seats where guests can enjoy spectacular sunsets, will open weather permitting.

XXVI Tavern is located at Basking Ridge Country Club, nestled in Somerset Hills at 185 Madisonville Road, Basking Ridge NJ, just 45 minutes from New York City and conveniently less than a mile off I 287.
